Skype with John

WAY back in May, my brother John was in Russia.  {I think he reads this blog because he makes fun of it.  Hi John.}  I had told my class that John was there and one of my students was very interested because she was Russian.  She told me that we needed to Skype John so that she could "learn him" Russian.  So, she emailed him and we set it up.  Of course my class loved it.  It is amazing the connections you can make from around the world!

Look who came to visit!

I moved to Chicago in July 2010.  It is now April 2013.  This past weekend, my Mom visited for the FIRST time!  She isn't the biggest fan of driving on the highway, so she came up with her friend Suzi.  It was nice to see her and have her see our house and the city that we live in!  David was banished to his Mom's house because he had the flu.  We saw some sites in the city and around Highland Park!

Happy Birthday John!

John celebrated his birthday in December.  He is home from China and awaiting his next adventure.  It was nice to be able to spend his birthday and the holidays together.

I'm Back!

I feel like I haven't blogged for a long time!  Things have been busy and unfortunately bogging is the first thing to be put to the side!  I actually haven't been on the computer very much at home.  Do not worry though...I facebook stalk through my iphone!


I have a lot of updates to make but will start with this one.  My brother John has left for India!  He was staying with us for about a month and left last week.  I have not gotten a chance to talk to him yet, but my Mom has.  It sounds like it is a very crowded and busy place.  The food doesn't sound to appetizing either!  Below is a picture of him at his last big dinner in Chicago.  We went to Japonais, which is one of David's favorite sushi places.

John Boy

Today, my brother John is flying back home from Spain.  He has been there since April on a consulting job for his company, UOP.  He is based in Chicago and will be staying with us for a few weeks until he is sent to his next job.  He believes that will be in Kochi, India...a long way from home!  David and I will love having him with us for the time being.  He has been without family for several months!  We are probably the most excited to have him cook for us though...but shhh don't tell him that!
