Oh My, I'm 29!

It's official.  I'm old.  One more year until 30!  How did this happen??  I had a great day overall.  It was a Friday which made it fun!  My kids treated me like a true Birthday Princess, which you know I loved.  After school we went out to Benihana.  I hadn't been there in forever!  Then, David surprised me with an awesome cake.

On Saturday, my Dad and Margaret came up to celebrate.  It was nice to have them here!  I remembered last year being so homesick on my birthday, this year was better!

I thought about making a "bucket list" for my last year of my 20s.  However, after thinking about it, I have soo much planned already this year will fly by.  I decided it was better not to add more to my plate, because when I make a list I MUST check everything off!

Here's to another great year!

I brought doughnuts to celebrate with my kids.  Makes me want one right now...
Flowers from David.  He is good at spoiling me!

Valentine's Day

What do two married adults do for Valentine's Day?  They go to Subway!  How romantic...

I had a long day at school partying hard.  We needed to go to the mall to pick up something at Tiffanys (don't get excited, something needed fixing!) and decided to hit the good old food court for dinner.  Valentine's Day is never too exciting for us because of my birthday.  I did get some gorgeous flowers deliver to school though!  It was just perfect in my opinion.

Mr. Barnett

Okay...here comes the attempt at catching up!  I know I will not hit everything that is going on, but will try my best!
I talk about David in my first grade classroom all the time.  They love hearing about what Mr. Barnett is doing and what he likes.  We have a mystery reader that comes in every Friday after lunch.  It is one of the students' parents or family members and they read the class a book or two and then leave.  They get a kick out of it.  Not long ago, they started asking when Mr. Barnett was coming.  I never thought of asking him, but it sounded fun!  I then promised them that Mr. Barnett would come in sometime...but it would be a secret.

In February he came and the class was thrilled. It was adorable to watch. He read them a few "No, David" books and we explained that his name was David. It was fun for him to get a glimpse of what my life is like everyday!

I'm D-O-N-E!!!!!!!

I am done done done!!  I can not explain how thrilled I am to finally be done with my National Board portfolio.  I still have to take a test in June and do not hear my results until November.  There is a 50 - 75 perect fail rate for the first time, so we will just have to see!  It will stink after all those hours and hours and hours to fail.

How did I celebrate?  By applying for another Masters program!  Yep, I am crazy.  I can't wait to catch you up on my life and have spring break next week to do that!

Hope you like the new layout!
