Post Weekend Recap 2.

The second weekend I wanted to recap was last weekend!  I flew down to Nashville (music city!) for the night to celebrate Jeni and her upcoming wedding!  I had never been to Nashville and had honestly never thought about visiting.  However, I had so much fun and would love to go back again!

We went from bar to bar because there were so many fun ones to choose from.  The best part was that all of the bars had live bands playing.  This made it even more entertaining!

We had a GREAT group of girls!

Another fun part of the weekend was staying at the Timothy Demonbreun House which was a Bed & Breakfast.  It was such a great idea to have a whole house to ourselves.  However, the owner was another whole story... : )

The weekend made me that much more excited for Jeni's big day on New Years Eve!

Post Weekend Recap Number 1.

Wow!  Days and weeks go by too fast!  I have been wanting to post about some of the fun weekends we have had lately.  I need to date this post all the way back to October 9 - 11.  Better late than never, right?!

I went home to Indy because my school had Monday off for Columbus Day.  David stayed in Chicago to watch his cousin run the Chicago Marathon.  The weekend started out great because I made such great time while driving down!  I was able to meet up with my friend for almost 20 years, Jennifer!  She helped me to pick up a bridesmaid dress and we had a great lunch.  It was wonderful to catch up with her.

After visiting with Jen, I went to get my hair done by my favorite stylist Jaron.  That night, my mom and I had a nice dinner out together!

I spent my day Sunday with my Dad and Margaret.  One of the highlights was dressing their dog Bella up in her Halloween tutu.  I thought she looked great!

Finally, on Monday I went to visit Durbin (my old school).  It was soo great seeing all the kids and staff again.  My favorite comment was, "Miss Pinkus, I liked it better when you were single!"  I have so many great memories at the school, especially with two of my favorite girls, Lauren and Jeni!

All in all it was a great weekend!

Our Home!

I have been meaning to post pictures of our apartment on here for awhile now.  We love it, but are looking forward to finally being completely settled in a home!  That will come in the spring.  For now, please enjoy our "hotel" in our "shopping mall"!

The entrance to our lobby and to our floor!

Apple Orchard / Cheese Castle!

On the way back from Milwaukee, David and I made two fun stops!  Our first stop was to Apple Holler.  We thought about picking apples but it was pretty chilly and I had flip flops on.  Instead, we stopped at the store, picked up some goodies, and looked around.  We plan to return someday when it is warmer out because it is opened year-round.  Below are a few pictures!  See if you can spot the goat crossing the bridge...

After visiting Apple Holler we went to Mars' Cheese Castle...this was David's idea!  He bought a lot of cheese and sausage and was totally pumped to create his perfect sandwich when we got home.  He did just that and has been sitting on the sofa ever since...

First Time in Wisconsin!

This weekend David and I decided to take a little trip to Milwaukee.  We went to the Milwaukee Food and Wine Festival and stayed over night.  As we were driving in, I realized that I had never been to Wisconsin.  To me, it looks like any other mid-western state though!  The drive is just about an hour from Glenview, so it is an easy trip!  Below are some pictures from our visit.
David and I at the Food and Wine Festival.
An exciting photo of downtown Milwaukee!
A double rainbow that I saw while visiting the mall!  David was watching football...
Our extremely romantic array of pizza for dinner.  We could not leave the hotel room because Notre Dame was on!

I will FINALLY post pictures of our apartment this week!
