Visitors!

We had our first official visitors this past weekend, Jen and Kathy!  We had a great time together with a fun filled weekend.  Below are some pictures and highlights of the weekend.

The first thing we did on Saturday morning was go to the city for the Sprinkles Cupcakes opening.  We got on a special invite list because I am friends with them on facebook.  We enjoyed two free cupcakes each...they were beyond delicious!

After we ate our delicious cupcakes, we met up with an old high school friend, Michelle.  We did some shopping and she walked us to where they were filming the next Transformers movie.  I was too short to really see anything...but it was neat to be there.  Below is a picture of what we saw.

After all this fun, we went out to a great dinner and made our way to our show for the evening...Thunder from Down Under!  You read it right...we went to a male review show!  We had seen the show when we had just turned 21 in Vegas and wanted to see it again because it was in Chicago.  It was definitely an experience!  Below is a picture of us from the night.

On Sunday, we did some more shopping and went to visit the Chicago Botanic Gardens.  It was gorgeous!  I ended up purchasing a membership because it is a great place to go running at.  Below you will find some pictures from our time there.

Although I was sad to see Jen and Kathy leave, I have another friend coming today...Lauren!  We are sure to continue the fun with more exploring of my new city!

IKEA!

On Tuesday, David picked me up after work to go to IKEA!  Those that know me, know that IKEA is one of my favorite places.  I am so excited to live so close to one.  We needed to get David a new dresser to put in his closet...exciting I know!  We ended up picking out this dresser

I love it!  However, it took me 4 hours to put together.  Those that know David, know that I am the handy one in this relationship!!

Tomorrow, two of my best friends, Jen and Kathy, are coming to spend the weekend with us.  I can not wait until they get here.  We have a lot of fun planned!!

Our New Place.

I am still finishing our apartment, so I do not want to post pictures quite yet.  In the meantime, you can visit the following link to see where we are living.  It is basically an apartment above a shopping center...right up Princess Sarah's alley!  Our plan is to stay here until April while looking for a new home to buy.  It is pretty fun...I just went downstairs to get some blue cupcake gelato.  So convenient!

Goodbye Fishers!

I am officially moved in to my new "shopping center" home!  Kathy and I had a great time getting everything all unpacked.  We made a great duo!

Kathy in the huge paper mess.  We had a moving company pack up the condo, and they used an unbelievable amount of paper to do so!  We had soo many boxes including 5 boxes full of just paper.  Luckily, David called one of "his guys" and they came to pick it all up for us!

I had to take a picture of all my shoes while I was getting them ready to put on the new rack.  A girl can never have too many shoes, right?!?

All that is left to do is hang all of our pictures/artwork!  As soon as I get them hung, I will take pictures of the new place.  It is all coming together!

Tomorrow I am officially beginning my move from Indiana to Illinois (Chicago).  David is flying to Florida for work, so I am on my own!  However, thankfully my good friend Kathy is coming up to help me!  I will post about the big move later!

I heart blogs!

Hi Everyone!

I have lately become obsessed with blogs.  I have been following blogs of people I know, people I used to know (they do not know i am following!), and people I have never met.  I enjoy reading about their lives and find myself wanting check in often to see how everything is going.

If you know me, you know that I have had a busy few months (well okay, a busy year).  Between training for half marathons, looking for a new job, packing up my classroom, getting our condo ready to be on the market and cleaning it daily (yuck!), planning my wedding, and orchestrating a big move...I have not had much free time!  Now that the majority of that is done, I decided that I am not going to know what to do with myself.  So, what did I think of?  Starting a blog of course!

I am hoping to write about our new adventures in Chicago and stay in touch with friends and family back in Indiana.  Who knows, maybe my blog will become one that someone who does not know me stalks? : )
